No two businesses are in the same spot when they start our programs and no two business owners have had the exact same experiences. Because of that we aim to understand each individual’s starting place and adapt our strategies to give them the best chance for short-term wins and long-term success. We promise to instill you with confidence by teaching you what need and how to do it. We’ll offer our experience, knowledge, advice and resources to help you get the job done. Yet the results you get in your business will be determined by how well you execute your role as the business leader.
The first call is a triage call. That’s right, triage - an opportunity to quickly access the situation. This is where we get to know one another. See if it’s a good fit. We’ll explore where you are in your business, and you’ll get to find out more about how we will work together. We’ll both know by the end of the call if it makes sense to move forward.
The early part of the relationship is about setting goals, establishing a couple key initiatives, and prioritizing our first action steps. If there are some problem spots, we’ll address them first. Then it’s quickly on to measurements. If they’re in place we’ll identify strategies to improve them. If not, we’ll quickly put them in place. Bottom line: you can’t manage what you don’t measure.
By now you’ve got the feel for how to work ON your business. With goals and a plan in hand, you’re now working with your team to align them with your plan and the vision you have for your business. We continue to identify areas of opportunity in the business, eliminate bottlenecks, and refine systems. We work to accelerate sales and the profitability of your business.
The coaching relationship will last as long as you wish. For many business owners a coach becomes a non-equity business partner, an advisor, and a confidante. Our job is to review our accomplishments to ensure we remain on track. Changing market or economic conditions, competition, or the desire to expand, all of these require that we continue to make adjustments to the business to meet your personal goals. You’ll never be done until you sell. Business is dynamic that way.
You can expect us to turn over all the rocks, and peel back all the layers. No business topic is off-limits if it has an impact on the performance of your business. Here are a few of the key areas you can expect us to focus on:
There are many ways for a business owner to learn but nothing is as effective as 1-on-1 coaching. When you engage with a coach you are essentially getting a non-equity business partner, an advisor, and a confidante. Your coach will help you define a plan to get the most out of your coaching experience and help you focus and execute on the areas that have the greatest impact on helping your business flourish.
Like using a personal trainer to improve your fitness, nutrition and overall health, a business coach is an investment towards improving your identity, knowledge and skills as a business owner. Your investment can only be determined once an assessment of your situation has been made. Feel confident as you explore this opportunity. We have weekly or bi-weekly programs that will meet the needs of any business owner – start-up to seasoned veteran.
